Today I’m Over at Shotgun Honey

Shotgun Honey

Today, I was going to write a review on Dashiell Hammett’s The Thin Man but I came down with the flu. Just as well because I have some news to share.

I’m really thrilled to let you know that one of my short crime pieces You Got It All Wrong has been published by Shotgun Honey. I’ve been a fan of the magazine for a while and so I’m really happy about this.

If you’d like to read it – here’s the link.

      • I finally got to read your story, Caroline. Loved it! I loved the way it started where things seem open-and-shut and the way the narrator describes it and moves the story in a new direction with the unexpected twist in the end. We could agree with the narrator, we could regard her as unreliable, we could amaze at how one thing can look like two totally opposite things when seen from different perspectives – I loved thinking about the story after I finished reading it. It made me ponder on what is the real truth in any given situation – there is more to life that what meets the eye. Thanks for sharing your story, Caroline. I loved it and I can’t wait to read more🙂

        • Thanks so much for your kind words. I had fun writing it, imagining how someone could misread just about everything. The question is – is she really unreliable or just a liar trying to get away with murder. Obviously, she would still be unreliable but for other reasons.🙂

  1. Wow, that’s wonderful news – congratulations! You must be thrilled. I’m looking foward to reading your story – bookmarking it now for a quiet moment. I hope you feel better very soon.🙂

  2. It’s a very good story – just shows what can be done with just a few words – a wonderful pen-picture of an obsessive relationship. Excellent work Caroline

  3. Sorry that you are not feeling well. I hope that you feel better soon.

I loved the story. As I mentioned on Twitter, you managed to really create a the voice of a very believable and interesting character using a concise number of words.

I hope that you publish more of your work. I would no doubt enjoy reading it.

    • Thank you so much, Jenny. I’m feeling a tiny bit better today. Yes, I was so glad and as if this wasn’t great enough – today I’ll share more news.:)
